There is a lot to keep you busy, include movies, trivia contents, and dance classes in the opulent Jacaranda Bar. The food and service could be better, though.

While the rooms and the walkways between them are not that impressive, the lush greenery and gorgeous pool area will surely awe you. The guest-rooms have been completely revamped, with plantation-style furnishings, plush carpeting, and marble-tile bathrooms. Amenities include a full-service spa, an outdoor fitness trail, and a casino.

7. Barcelo Dominican Beach – Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Purchased from Ocean Hotels in 2007, this exceptional resort has been completely revamped and all guest-rooms now include pillow-top mattresses, balconies, satellite TV, coffeemakers, and a mini-bar.
